The increasingly desirable Isle of Thanet comprises Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate as well as a number of pretty villages. It is situated on the most north-easterly edge of Kent with coast on three sides. With a population of just under 142,000 people and covering an area of around 40 square miles.

Easily accessible with excellent road and rail links, approximately 75 minutes from London’s St Pancras International aboard HS1 and rail services link Thanet to other London stations and mainland Europe (Eurostar) via Ashford International. Cross-Channel services are available from the Port of Dover and Eurotunnel.

Spoilt for choice with 15 sandy beaches and bays stretching from Minnis Bay in the North to Pegwell Bay in the south of the Island, great leisure facilities, three superb Golf courses, water sports, and numerous festivals, and events such as Folk Week, The Water Gala, Dickens Week and The Margate Soul Festival to name a few.

World class galleries, such as the internationally acclaimed art gallery Turner Contemporary, with additional studio spaces and galleries springing up around the Isle, and historic Theatres such as the Theatre Royal being the country's second oldest, the Winter Gardens, the tiny Tom Thumb Theatre and not forgetting The Sarah Thorne Theatre in Broadstairs boasts Dame Judi Dench as a patron.
